How to Apply for the Broadlawns UnityPoint Psychiatry Residency Program

Applicants are asked to print a copy of the application form on ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).  The application should be completed and sent directly to Broadlawns at the contact information below.

Consideration for application shall not be unlawfully influenced or affected by virtue of applicant’s race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, mental or physical disability unrelated to ability to perform duties of the residency or any other characteristics protected by law.

Foreign Medical Graduates must have a ECFMG certificate and a score acceptable to the GMEC on the USMLE examination Parts I and II.  Due to fiscal constraints, only those with J1 Visas will be considered.

Graduates of LCME or AOA approved medical schools must have a score acceptable to the GMEC on USMLE or COMLEX Boards Parts I and II.

To complete the process, the following materials must be submitted:

  • Dean’s letter—emailed or mailed directly from the reference
  • Three letters of reference—emailed or mailed directly from the reference
  • COMLEX or USMLE scores—emailed or mailed directly from the Testing Institution
  • Personal statement—emailed or mailed directly from the applicant
  • Medical school transcripts—emailed or mailed directly from the medical school
