Larry Severidt, M.D.
Director of Family Medicine Residency Program
Dr. Severidt graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1977. He completed his family medicine residency with the Genesis Medical Education Foundation (formerly Mercy/St. Lukes) in Davenport in 1980. He practiced in rural Iowa from 1980 to 2004. He came to Broadlawns Medical Center in 2004 with a dual appointment in the Department of Family Practice and emergency medicine. He was named Family Medicine Residency director in 2006.
Dr. Severidt has served as a medical student preceptor and mentor for Des Moines University and the University of Iowa, receiving the Preceptor of the Year Award from the University of Iowa in 2000. He also received the Iowa Medical Society Award for Community Services in 1999. His special interests include leading medical brigades to Central America.

Nicholas Galioto, M.D.
Director of Transitional Year Residency Program
Nicholas J. Galioto, M.D., ABFP, received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1988. He completed his residency training at Broadlawns Medical Center and joined the faculty upon graduating in 1991. Dr. Galioto became associate director of the Family Medicine Residency Program in 1994 and director of the Transitional Year Program in 1998. He also holds a faculty appointment at the University of Iowa and maintains clinical interests in the areas of critical care medicine, pediatrics, sports medicine and neonatal resuscitation. He is certified as ACLS regional faculty.

Robert Bender, M.D.

Dana Danley, M.D.
Dana Danley, M.D., joined the Family Health Center faculty in September 2007. A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine, she completed her residency in family medicine at Broadlawns Medical Center. Dr. Danley also practiced emergency medicine at Broadlawns. Dr. Danley also serves as a clinical adjunct assistant professor of family medicine and is site coordinator for the community-based primary care rotation for the Universit of Iowa. She also serves as preceptor for Des Moines University students on 3rd/4th year rotations.

Joshua Stubblefield, D.O.
Joshua Stubblefield, D.O. received his medical degree from Des Moines University - Osteopathic Medical Center in May, 2005. He joined the Broadlawns Residency Program faculty after completing his residency in 2008 at Broadlawns Medical Center. Dr Stubblefield's areas of interest include osteopathic manipulation, non-surgical modalities for chronic muscoloskeletal pain and medical homes. Dr. Stubblefield holds a part-time faculty appointment for Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Des Moines University.

Carol Tershak, Ph.D.
Dr. Tershak is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University and completed her clinical internship in the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Before coming to Broadlawns Medical Center in 2002, Dr. Tershak served in clinical and administrative positions at medical centers in Indiana, Missouri and Arkansas. Her areas of interest include physician well-being, behavioral change and patient adherence. Dr. Tershak coordinates the behavioral science curriculum.
CoraLynn (Becker) Trewet, PharmD
CoraLynn (Becker) Trewet , PharmD, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Drake University in 2003. Dr. Trewet completed a Practice Management Residency and obtained her masters in pharmacy administration from the University of Kansas. She is the clinical pharmacist with the Broadlawns Family Medicine Residency Program. She also serves as an assistant clinical professor of family medicine for the University of Iowa. A national officer for the American Pharmacists Association, she presents at regional and national meetings. Her interests include family medicine, cardiology, ambulatory care, clinical management, academia and outcomes research.
