The Foot and Ankle Clinic is a leading edge medical/surgical clinic offering the highest quality treatment of problems with lower legs, feet and ankles. Our board certified physicians are experts in providing specialized care for the lower extremities, including diabetic foot care and ulcer management, providing a comprehensive range of procedures from repairing wounds to replacing arthritic ankle joints and performing Charcot reconstruction of the foot.
Patients of all ages - infants, children and adults - are welcome at Broadlawns Foot and Ankle Clinic. Protecting and restoring mobility is our first priority for patients who are experiencing problems with their feet or ankles, or have limited mobility due to:
- Arthritis
- Injury
- Diabetes
- Other conditions
Our staff of physicians are available in clinic five days a week and on-call for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The professionals at the Broadlawns Foot and Ankle Clinic attend to all aspects of your lower extremity health. We offer in-patient and out-patient treatment for a wide variety of needs from pediatrics to geriatrics, diabetes, sports medicine, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
Medical Treatment
The providers at the Foot and Ankle Clinic treat many common foot and leg ailments non-surgically. Heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, corns, callouses, painful toenails, warts and strains and sprains as well as many congenital problems, such as club foot will all be treated will high-quality, compassionate care.
Our diabetic patients benefit from our cutting edge Amputation Prevention Center, where our staff of limb preservation specialists help manage risk factors to save at-risk limbs.
Surgical Treatment
The foot and ankle surgery section at Broadlawns is a Center of Excellence in Iowa. It is one of only three centers in Iowa that can offer tot al ankle joint replacement surgery, utilizing all available artificial joints.
If you suffer from arthritis in your ankle and have been offered an ankle fusion, the AgilityTM, InBoneTM or TornierTM ankle implants may be better options.
From bunions and hammertoes, neuromas and ankle fractures, to reconstructive, plastic surgery and trauma surgery, our board certified surgeons will get you back on your feet.
