Insurance
Comprehensive medical, life and disability insurance and malpractice insurance are provided.
Relocation Allowance
An initial allowance to cover expenses is provided.
Housing
Each resident is provided with an on-campus townhouse at no cost to the resident. This may include furnishings, if desired. Utilities and local telephone costs are covered. Residents are responsible for their long distance calls.
Continuing Medical Education
First-year residents receive four days of conference time annually; second and third-year residents receive five days of conference time annually. A conference allowance is provided for expenses.
Licensure and Professional Membership Fees
“Broadlawns Medical Center pays for the resident medical license and state controlled substance registration. Permanent Medical license fees are paid on a cost sharing basis.
Membership to local, state medical associations and the American Academy of Family Physicians are paid for by Broadlawns Medical Center.
Membership to other national organization(s) are an individual’s responsibility.”
Miscellaneous
Scrubs and lab coats are provided free of charge to residents.
