Broadlawns Hosts Forum to Meet Board Candidates
DES MOINES, Iowa (Oct 17, 2012) -- Broadlawns Medical Center will host an open public forum to allow voters an opportunity to meet the three candidates who are running for a seat on the medical center's board of trustees.
The free forum is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Hunsaker Humanitarian Room on the fourth floor of Broadlawns Medical Center. Polk County voters are invited to attend the event, which will be moderated by Dennis J. Goldford Professor of Politics Department of Politics and International Relations from Drake University.
Broadlawns Medical Center first opened its doors as a hospital to the residents of Polk County in 1924. Over the years, Broadlawns has adapted to the changing demands of public health care, yet remained true to its mission of offering quality health services to all Polk County residents and training tomorrow's health care professionals.
