Broadlawns Medical Center is the first mammography provider in Iowa to offer breast tomosynthesis cancer screening with a full field digital mammography system. The system is the latest generation of equipment that uses very low x-ray exposure and high-powered computing to convert digital breast images into a stack of very thin layers.
