Dr. Vincent Mandracchia is Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Broadlawns Medical Center. Dr. Mandracchia attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated in 1976. His residency in foot and ankle surgery was completed at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia in 1978. Dr. Mandracchia is Board Certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and in reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery. He also received a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Des Moines University in 1994.
In 1995, Dr. Mandracchia joined the faculty of Broadlawns Medical Center. Prior to his arrival at Broadlawns, he held the position of Associate Professor of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University (1978-1984), private practice in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas (1984-1992), Clinical Professor of Podiatric Medicine at Des Moines University (1992-2005), Consulting Editor of the Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery (1999-2008) and Trauma Section Editor of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery (2004-2007). Throughout his tenure with Broadlawns Medical Center, he has worn different hats serving as the Director of Podiatric Surgical Residency Training; Section Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and President of the Medical Staff (2005). Dr. Mandracchia has published over 55 articles and textbook chapters on topics related to the lower extremity.
Dr. Mandracchia is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, Iowa Podiatric Medical Society, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Association of Physician Leaders, and the Physician Leader Constituent Group of the Iowa Hospital Association where he serves as Vice Chairman.
