Site and Facilities Plan Updates
On a typical day, Broadlawns’ halls resonate with heartwarming and heart-wrenching stories. You can feel the unwavering commitment to help our neighbors address their health needs, welcome every family regardless of ability to pay and comfort people in their times of need.
Today Broadlawns is also experiencing the inconveniences of expansion and renovation. The renovations are extensive in nature. They include new construction, relocation of some departments and extensive infrastructure modernizations. It will be necessary to carry out the work in a series of three phases to ensure that we continue to deliver high-quality patient care throughout the renovations. Construction Updates
 Parking & Entrance
The main East building entrance to the hospital is now closed. The Sands building South entrance is the new main entrance. The new Emergency Department entrance is on the Northeast side of the building as the new signage indicates.
The entrance closet to the sands entrance has been the easiest and most accessible for patients. Pharmacy patients can still drive around the east side of the main building to the back of the hospital for access to the outpatient pharmacy.
Capital Campaign Updates
 Parts of our building have not been updated for 40 years, and the growing demand for health care services is outpacing our capacity to serve. This Site and Facilities Plan is paramount to Broadlawns’ continued ability to deliver high quality heath care and health education services.

Our financing strategy incorporates several avenues for the funding of this plan. We are pleased to report that there will be no need to raise taxes to pay for the much needed facilities and infrastructure upgrades. We have
secured favorable loan terms for a significant portion of the project, based on the hospital’s
current financial standing. We will reach out to our community for private donations for the remainder of the financing.
