Apprenticeship Programs

BMC supports the concept of apprenticeship as it relates to work in health care. We have been involved in this type of work-based learning since 2016. For us, the primary components include:

• Earn and learn:
  -Apprentices can be paid for learning on the job
• Incremental skill-based learning:
  -Apprentices learn skills on the job in addition to classroom learning
• Cohort-based learning:
  -Apprentices are energized by learning material through a group-sharing process
