Electronics Technician

Job Description

Under supervision of the Chief Information Officer and Information Technology Manager, provides for the maintenance, installation and operation of all patient and non-patient electronic equipment and accessories, such as:  fire alarm system, building management system computer, telephones, cables, sensors and all peripheral equipment.  Troubleshoots and services complex electronic, electrical equipment and systems.  Maintains records on all electronic equipment and monitors performance, and prepares recommendations for new and replacement equipment.

Generally Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm


Associate degree in an electrical related field. Three years practical electronic and electrical experience. Ability to read, interpret and comprehend electrical drawings and schematics and basic blueprints.
Ability to communicate in a pleasant, positive and effective manner with staff, customers, visitors and all levels of Hospital management. Basic computer skills. Is able to physically complete all of the tasks assigned to the position on a regular basis, including but not limited to excessive lifting, working in extreme cold or extreme hot weather, and being able to complete outside winter work, including snow shoveling for extensive periods of time.
