Provides comprehensive interpretation services for non-English speaking patients and visitors, their families and medical department staff. This position reports to the Director of Customer Relations.
Generally Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm
High school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual in Spanish with related medical education/training, medical terminology or experience in the medical center, hospital, or clinic. Familiarity with culture. Flexibility in work hours and availability for unplanned hours as interpreting needs arise. Successfully pass a BMC assigned Medical Language Profeciency test and or utilized interpreting skills in a medical setting for at least 2 years.
