Job Description

Under the supervision of the Clinics Administrator, the Team Lead Scheduler/Patient Access Representative is responsible for performing all aspects of FHC patient scheduling and registration process. 

Sets up Family Health Center Faculty and Residents schedules in the EMR (Meditech System). Answers multi-line telephone routing calls to appropriate areas or scheduling patient appointments or other appointments according to the Family Health Center’s scheduling guidelines. Contacts patients by telephone to re-schedule existing appointments. Keeps physicians and nursing staff informed at all times of schedule changes. Registers patients for FHC clinic according to FHC and BMC registration guidelines. Collects patient co-pays and account payments according to FHC and BMC guidelines. Keeps the nursing and physician staff informed of schedule flow (additions to schedules and arrival of patients). Assists in maintaining Family Health Center patient data base.

Generally Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm


High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year experience in a clerical field, preferably in a medical clinic or hospital setting. Familiarity with Microsoft office.
