This Broadlawns Medical Center employment opportunity is a 9 month position (not working in June, July, and August) and is generally scheduled to work 20 hours per week.
The Drake University Counseling Center is looking to expand and hire a clinician with established experience providing counseling and outreach/programming to Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC). This position will provide culturally informed short-term individual counseling, group counseling, diagnostic assessment, and long-term community counseling referrals to Drake University students. The candidate will also provide culturally informed outreach and prevention services to students, faculty, and staff, particularly focused on needs of BIPOC students.

Generally Days, Monday-Friday, with one evening per week
Masters of Social Work degree from accredited educational institution. Current LMSW, LISW, LMHC, or LMFT license with State of Iowa. Knowledge in crisis intervention techniques and brief therapy. Clinical experience in evaluation/assessment and multi-axial diagnoses of adolescents and adults in various stages of the developmental cycle. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The preferred candidate will have experience addressing challenges of culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical functioning, and other aspects of identity within the context of psychotherapy with diverse student populations and have specialized training in multicultural psychology.
