Stop letting insomnia keep you up at night . . . While sleep medication may help some people, it could have undesirable side effects including tolerance and dependence to the medication. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been found to be an effective alternative treatment for insomnia. CBT involves guidance from a licensed therapist to help change or alter attitudes, beliefs and behaviors that may be contributing to a negative sleep experience.

Referral from your current medical provider required. Referrals from outside providers accepted.

The fee for the class is $40 and covers all program materials. Payment is due at the first class. A fee reduction is available for Medicaid recipients.

The class will be held at Broadlawns Medical Center in the Second Floor Conference Room of the Medical Plaza, located at 1761 Hickman Road, Des Moines, IA 50314.
