How To Help During COVID-19 Pandemic
Broadlawns has been fortunate to receive an overwhelming amount of support from the community during these challenging times. Thank you for your generosity!
Disaster Relief Fund
The Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation has established a Disaster Relief Fund to ensure our doctors, nurses and healthcare workers have the supplies and resources they need to remain at the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic and are able to continue providing our community with compassionate care and support during this unprecedented time. To make a donation to support this restricted fund, please visit our donation page and select “Disaster Relief Fund” in the drop down menu.
Broadlawns Medical Center is accepting homemade masks. We ask that you please adhere to the specifications below and follow the instructions in this video when making masks. Please construct masks using the following specifications:
100% cotton fabric, tightly woven, minimum of 160 thread count per square inch
Ties and tape – 100% cotton – white or natural color – minimum ¼ inch thick
Nose piece – minimum 4 inches long – plastic coated wire twist ties
Mask size when complete – 7 inches wide by 3.75 inches long
3 pleats per mask facing upward (from outside view)
The mask should have two layers of fabric
If you've already made masks using another pattern, that's OK, we’ll accept those as well. Kindly enclose completed masks in a zip lock plastic bag or within a closed plastic box. We will launder them prior to use so there is no need to wash the masks prior to delivery. To coordinate a delivery of masks, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope that our supply of PPE masks will get us through this situation, but we will use the homemade masks if circumstances dictate the need.
Broadlawns welcomes donations of catered meals or restaurant gift cards as a way to support our medical staff on the front lines while also supporting local businesses. At this time, we are not accepting homemade food items.
For your safety and the safety of our patients and staff, please email email@example.com to coordinate any donation. Please do not enter the Medical Center with donations. We ask that all donors please complete an In-Kind Donation Form. You may email this form or drop it off with your donation.
Display a Heart for our Healthcare Workers
As a small sign of our overwhelming gratitude, we invite you to join us in displaying "Hearts for Healthcare Workers" on your front door or window to let our healthcare heroes know how much we appreciate them. Download and print a blue or yellow heart—or both! Be sure to take a photo of your heart(s) and share with us on social media using the hashtags #TogetherAHealthyCommunity and #HeartsForHealthcareWorkers.
