Janet Metcalf is the current vice chair of the Broadlawns Medical Center Board of Trustees and is in her third six-year term. In addition, Ms. Metcalf is a member of the Broadlawns Foundation Board of Directors.
Ms. Metcalf served nine terms in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing Urbandale, Clive, Grimes and Windsor Heights from 1984 until her retirement in 2002.
She served as president of Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa, and is on the board of 50-50 in 2020, an organization seeking political equity for Iowa women by recruiting, training and mentoring women to run for elected positions.
In 2014, Ms. Metcalf was recognized as a Business Record Woman of Influence honoree.
Ms. Metcalf will complete her third term in December 2022.
