Broadlawns Hosts Forum to Meet Board Candidates


Six candidates vie for two seats


Des Moines, IA – (October 16, 2014) – Broadlawns Medical Center will host an open public forum to provide voters an opportunity to meet the six candidates who are running for a seat on the medical center’s board of trustees.  The following is a listing of the candidates as they appear on the back of the ballot:

  • Robert O’Brien
  • John M. Norwood
  • Cindy Gray
  • Mark Cooper
  • George C. Wood
  • Som Baccam

The free forum is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, 2014, from 5 - 6:00 p.m. in the Medical Office Building Conference Room, lower level, on the Broadlawns Medical Center campus. Polk County voters are invited to attend the event that will be moderated by Dennis J. Goldford, Professor of Politics, Department of Politics and International Relations from Drake University.
