Broadlawns Medical Center Presented at the Annual American Epilepsy Society Meeting


Neurologist Wendy Zadeh, M.D. presented clinical research

Des Moines, Iowa – (December 2014) – On December 7, 2014, Dr. Wendy Zadeh presented at the Annual American Epilepsy Society meeting in Seattle, Washington.  Dr. Zadeh and Broadlawns Medical Center were chosen to present due to her knowledge in the treatment of epilepsy and our contribution to this study.  The study was part of a USB Pharma global clinical trial of Lacosamide. The study involved a clinical trial of lacosamide as an add-on therapy to assist with the control of seizures.  Dr. Zadeh’s presentation was a poster titled, “Efficacy and safety of lacosamide as first add-on treatment in partial-onset seizures.”

Dr. Wendy Zadeh has fellowship training in epilepsy and is a regional authority in the diagnosis and treatment of epileptic conditions.  She has been a part of several clinical trials for epilepsy pharmacotherapy and has over twelve years of experience in epilepsy pharmacotherapy, vagal nerve stimulation and diagnosis and localization of epilepsy.
