Marketplace Health Insurance

Coverage – What’s the Law?

The Affordable Care Act requires everyone legally living in the U.S. to have health insurance or pay a penalty. You can shop for plans by phone, through a broker, at on-site enrollment locations, or at the online Health Insurance Marketplace. Learn more at: www.healthcare.gov

Healthcare Enrollment

Providing Access through Health Alliance

Broadlawns is a member of the University of Iowa Health Alliance made up of more than 50 hospitals and more than 160 physician clinics. That means you have access to a network of providers all across Iowa, eastern Nebraska and the Quad Cities (Illinois).

As a member, our patients can be included in health care coverage offered on the Iowa Health Insurance Exchange.

Key Points

When you shop the Marketplace, look for insurance plans that include Broadlawns Medical Center so you can use the full scope of this Health Alliance.

If you are enrolling in the Iowa Health and Wellness Plan, choose a primary care doctor at Broadlawns.

If you are enrolling in a commercial insurance, please confirm Broadlawns Medical Center is in-network.
