Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.
If you are already a volunteer at Broadlawns, we cannot thank you enough. If you are looking to volunteer, we welcome you with open arms and will help you find the best fit for your time, talents and reasons for choosing to volunteer at Broadlawns.
There is a wonderful variety of opportunities for volunteers of all ages, skills and interests. Most fall into one of three categories: General, Spiritual and Guild Member Support.
Some examples include – helping people with limited mobility, welcoming patients and visitors and escorting them to where they need to be, working with the staff chaplain on special events or patient groups, assisting in the gift shop, etc. As a volunteer, you will be asked to complete orientation material.

Broadlawns’ volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and complete the volunteer application process, which includes an interview, background check and health screen. The health screen includes documentation of measles, mumps and rubella, and a TB test. Volunteers are also required to attend an orientation, wear a volunteer jacket and name badge.
Chaplain volunteers need to have completed one unit of clinical pastoral education (CPE) or have equivalent training and experience.
We value the positive impact your time, your assistance and your smile can have in the lives of those we serve. Thank you and we hope to see you soon.
