Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, Behavioral Health Specialist to join the Family Medicine Residency faculty. We are a teaching hospital with Family Medicine, Transitional Year, and Psychiatry Residents. Our residency has 24 Family Medicine (FM) and 4 Transitional Year(TY) residents.
Responsibilities:
*40% clinical practice
*60% education and evaluation of FM/TY residents including clinic visit shadowing, community home visits, didactics of common psychiatric conditions, burnout, substance use disorders and CBT
*Evaluation of resident’s progress towards competency-based goals in behavioral and family medicine
*Fostering wellness to achieve competent, caring and resilient physicians within the residency
*Regular availability regarding consultations for clinic patient’s mental health issues or resident wellness
*Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve, including refugee, public and private insurance
