What You Need to Know About Coverage

Under the Affordable Care Act, most people living legally in the U.S. are required to have health insurance. You can explore plans online, by phone, through a licensed broker, or at in-person enrollment locations. To get started, visit www.healthcare.gov.

Enrolling in Healthcare Coverage

Broadlawns and the Health Alliance

Broadlawns Medical Center is part of the University of Iowa Health Alliance—a network of more than 50 hospitals and 160 physician clinics across Iowa, eastern Nebraska, and the Quad Cities.

As a Broadlawns patient, you may be eligible for plans offered through the Iowa Health Insurance Exchange that include our services.

When You Shop the Marketplace:

  • Look for plans that include Broadlawns Medical Center to make full use of our services.
  • If you're enrolling in the Iowa Health and Wellness Plan, you can choose a Broadlawns primary care provider.
  • If you're selecting a commercial plan, confirm that Broadlawns is in-network.
