About

"I chose to specialize in the two medical specialties of Pain Medicine and Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) to help patients reach the best level of independence and quality of life. A Physiatrist and Pain Medicine Doctor can evaluate and give a diagnoses, manage, and treat pain from an injury, illness, or medical condition. The goal of a Pain Medicine Doctor and a Physiatrist is to help patients recover their functional wellbeing and to return to a healthy life no matter what impairment a person might have. I am board certified in both Pain Medicine and Physiatry, so I can provide my patients with integrated, multidisciplinary care aimed at recovery of the person as a whole through addressing the individual's physical, emotional, medical, vocational, and social needs. Physiatry is unique among medical specialties in that its area of expertise is the functioning of the whole patient, as compared with a focus on an organ system or systems. I can treat conditions of the bones, muscles, joints, brain and nervous system."
