Why I Chose Broadlawns for My Residency
I am thankful to be training at Broadlawns for many reasons. With an unopposed residency, we have the opportunity to learn a full-spectrum of medicine to fit any practice. As someone planning to practice in rural Iowa, I know I will be prepared for anything with my education from Broadlawns. We also have a phenomenal support system built in with faculty that are devoted to teaching and fellow residents that make every day enjoyable. Plus, my family appreciates me being so close to home!

Biking, Fishing, Drinking iced coffee, Devoted Bachelor and Big Brother fan, Flower gardening, and walking my cat Molly (who I’ve had since 7th grade)

Spending time outdoors at Raccoon River Park, Eating scallops from Ohana’s Steakhouse
Fall Must Do’s: Howells Pumpkin Patch/Ranch for feeding the baby goats and launching pumpkins, Iowa Orchard for apple cider donuts and homemade pie
