About

Dr. Takacs is a board-certified urologist with subspecialty certification in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS). A proud Iowan, she brings decades of experience and a deep passion for advancing care for women with pelvic floor conditions like incontinence. After completing medical school at the University of Iowa and urology residency at S.U.N.Y. Buffalo, she went on to train in female urology and reconstructive surgery at UT Southwestern. Dr. Takacs spent nearly two decades at the University of Iowa, where she was a professor before transitioning to private practice.

Her leadership in the field is unmatched—Dr. Takacs earned her Master’s in Medical Education, served on multiple national urology committees, and made history as the first female President of the North Central Section of the AUA in 2024.

When she’s not seeing patients, you’ll find her outdoors enjoying biking, skiing, walking, or a game of pickleball.
