The future of memory care

Help create a place where families facing memory loss feel at home. Building on existing memory care services, the center will help families navigate Alzheimer’s disease and dementia while donor generosity helps bring this vision to life.

Changes in memory can bring questions that reach every part of family life.

What is happening? Where do we turn? How do we prepare for what comes next? Your generosity can help Broadlawns create a place where patients and caregivers find guidance, coordinated care, and a welcoming environment designed around their needs.

Why This Work Matters

Families need a clear path to evaluation and support. Caregivers also need someone to turn to as daily responsibilities and questions change. The planned Broadlawns Brain and Memory Center responds to these needs by bringing care and support into a setting designed for people navigating Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

A setting designed with families in mind

At the planned center on Ingersoll Avenue, familiar surroundings will be part of the care experience. Comfortable gathering areas, quiet exam spaces, natural light, and room for families are intended to make visits feel calmer and easier to navigate.

Your gift can help create that environment. It can support the transformation of a residential setting into a place where patients feel welcomed and caregivers have space to ask questions, learn, and connect.

Building on care already underway

Broadlawns is building on its work in memory evaluation, education, and caregiver support. The Mobile Memory and Wellness Clinic brings services into the community. The planned center will offer a dedicated setting for coordinated care, creating another way for patients and families to connect with support.

Nearly three-quarters of patients are uninsured or underinsured. Many are navigating challenges that extend well beyond health. In these moments, excellent medical care is necessary, but not always sufficient.
