Why I Chose my Field
I chose to study neurology in 1988 because the nervous system is fascinating! I could tell that research was leading to many discoveries that would eventually make a difference for patients. That hope continues to come to fruition in so many areas of neurology including migraine, stroke, MS, neuropathy, epilepsy, Parkinson's, and dementia. Diagnosis and management of the latter is the focus of the Broadlawns memory clinic which I am honored to have joined.

Dr. Rankin enjoys travel, Pilates, being outdoors, family, friends, and music in her spare time. She is married with 2 adult daughters and has always had at least one dog.
