Broadlawns Medical Center Appoints Jonathan Brendemuehl as Foundation Director

NEWS RELEASE (Des Moines, IA) – Broadlawns Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Brendemuehl as the new Director of the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation, effective January 6, 2025.

Jonathan brings a wealth of experience in strategic communication and donor engagement to his new role. Prior to joining Broadlawns, he served as Communication Director at Des Moines Performing Arts (DMPA), where he played a key role in developing innovative initiatives that deepened relationships with donors and advanced the organization’s mission. Jonathan has also held positions at Bankers Trust and Drake University.

The Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation is essential to supporting the hospital’s mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care to the community. The Foundation plays a pivotal role in securing funding for programs, services, and capital projects that enhance patient care, support innovation in healthcare delivery, and improve the overall experience for patients and families. Jonathan’s leadership in this role will be instrumental in furthering these goals and engaging with the community to ensure the Foundation continues to thrive.
