Broadlawns Medical Center Recognizes Summer 2026 DAISY Award Honorees

Honoring Exceptional Nursing Care: DAISY Award Recipients

Broadlawns Medical Center has recognized two nurses as Summer 2026 DAISY Award honorees. The DAISY Award is an international program that recognizes nurses for exceptional clinical skills and compassionate care. The honorees were nominated by a patient, family member, or colleague who shared how their care made a difference during their experience at Broadlawns.

2026 DAISY Award Honorees:

Juli Sharpnack, RN – Family Birthing Center

Juli was nominated by a patient who described the hands-on, compassionate care she provided during childbirth. The patient shared how Juli anticipated her needs, helped her feel safe, and supported through physically difficult moments. Her care for both the patient and her new baby left a lasting impression.

Phyllis Teneng, RN – Med-Surg

Phyllis was nominated by a relative of a patient, who recognized her knowledgeable and kind approach to care. The nomination highlighted the clear guidance Phyllis provided about medications, care at home, and what to expect after discharge. Her calm, confident communication style helped put the family at ease.
