Why I chose Broadlawns for my residency?
I was able to rotate here as a 4th year & got the chance to work with the faculty & several of residents. Overall, the residency felt more like a family, with good support from fellow residents & also from faculty. It just seemed like a good fit & still is!

Favorite thing to do in Des Moines?
Hard to narrow it down to one favorite thing to do, so I'll give two. There's lots of scenic places around Des Moines. Some of the best spots my husband & I have found include the trails around Easter Lake & around Waterworks park. There's not a ton of people & you're surrounded by nature & lots of trees.
There's also lots of good food options around town whether you're looking for more comfort food or feeling flavorfully adventurous.
