Why I chose Broadlawns for my Residency
Intern year at BMC met and exceeded my expectations. I expected a difficult and challenging year that would help me grow as an individual and physician. I had expected to make great connections and friends with my colleagues. What I hadn’t expected was that Broadlawns and my colleagues would become like family. I enjoy being at work and this has eased the stress of residency exponentially. I am so thrilled to be here!

Favorite Thing To Do in Des Moines
We really enjoy all the restaurants and places to hang out with friends. Our favorites are Harbinger, Juniper Moon, Roca, Skip’s, St. Kilda’s, etc. We also enjoy all the bike trails in Des Moines, the Farmer’s Market, local berry picking, and tubing down the Raccoon River. There’s a little bit of everything you could want here, including a great Opera and Symphony, along with lots of concerts in the summer time.
