At Broadlawns, the DAISY Award highlights moments when nursing practice goes above and beyond — often during times when patients and loved ones need it most. We are proud to recognize the following Spring 2026 DAISY Award recipients and thank them for the care, professionalism, and dedication they bring to their work every day. Justin Draeger, RN | Surgical Services Justin provided attentive care during a procedure, taking the time to answer questions and ensure comfort every step of the way. He showed patience not only with the patient, but also while supporting a nurse in training. His calm approach, clear communication, and willingness to support his colleagues stood out. Justin’s care helped create a positive experience and reflects his commitment to both patients and his team. Christina Kline, RN | Inpatient Behavioral Health Christina consistently showed genuine care through clear communication, patience, and a positive attitude. She regularly checked in, helped navigate medication changes, and made sure concerns were heard and addressed. When a comfort issue was mentioned, she took the extra step to find a solution, helping improve rest and overall experience. Her attentiveness and follow-through made a lasting difference. Cristin Klyn, RN | Family Birthing Center Cristin cared for a family during the loss of a child, meeting them with calm, empathy, and steady support during an incredibly difficult time. She gave them the space they needed without rushing, clearly explained each step, and answered questions with patience and compassion. She honored personal requests without hesitation and made sure there was time for a final ultrasound, offering comfort on one of the hardest days imaginable. Her presence helped bring a sense of strength and reassurance throughout the experience.
