Broadlawns to Host Spring Nursing Conference for Iowa Nurses Press Release May 6, 2026 Broadlawns to Host Spring Nursing Conference for Iowa Nurses Des Moines, Iowa (May 6, 2026) - Broadlawns Medical Center will host its 2026 Spring Nursing Conference on Friday, May 22, for nurses and healthcare professionals, focused on patient care and clinical decision-making. The conference will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Broadlawns Medical Center, Building 4, Lower-Level Conference Room, 1801 Hickman Road in Des Moines. It is open to Broadlawns staff and community healthcare professionals and includes sessions on oncology care in acute settings, hospice and compassionate care, ethical challenges in psychiatric care, dementia risk reduction, legal considerations in nursing, and strategies to address nurse burnout. Participants can earn up to 7.5 continuing education contact hours through Broadlawns Medical Center, an approved provider through the Iowa Board of Nursing. Registration is free for Broadlawns employees and $40 for non-employees. Registration is required by Tuesday, May 19, and space is limited.
