R.I.S.E Group Therapy Classes

R.I.S.E – Resources for Increased Self-Empowerment – is a collection of weekly no-commitment groups to help you manage symptoms of mental health diagnoses. In these groups, you can learn how to dial back the intensity and access more calm, compassion, courage, clarity, and confidence.  These groups are for anyone over the age of 18 experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.

To attend a R.I.S.E group therapy class, you must attend a walk-in orientation session prior to attending a class. Orientation is offered every Tuesday from 1 pm to 3pm on the Third Floor of Broadlawns Medical Plaza. Orientation will help you determine which group(s) are best for you.

Group offerings include:

CALM

This group is designed to help you work on skills such as self-compassion, mindfulness, emotional regulation, habit building, understanding trauma, stress management, and safety planning.

Self-Leadership

This group is designed to increase your capacity to trust your ’Self’ and manage your emotions and behavior in a way that guides you toward success. The goal is to be able to become aware of stuck patterns of behavior, learn to access resources within yourself, and help with social skills allowing you to build effective relationships.
